Held its first Bible study on May 4, 2016 and first Liturgy on June 18, 2016.
The Coptic Orthodox Church was founded in the 1st century A.D. by St. Mark the Apostle in Egypt. It is an ancient apostolic church that is a member of the Oriental Orthodox Churches.
The first Coptic Orthodox Church in the Detroit Area was St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church in Troy, MI which was founded in the 1970’s. Due to the great influx of Copts to the area in recent years, the congregation has expanded and formed three new churches in the metro Detroit area in less than 3 years.
St. Mina and Pope Kyrillos VI Coptic Orthodox Church was started to expand into the area Northeast of Troy. This area includes Rochester Hills, Shelby Township, Oakland Township, Washington Township and surrounding areas.
Please pray for our church, that it may grow to serve all of the Copts in these areas and reach out to serve all of the surrounding community. Our church is a welcoming church that aims to foster a growing relationship with The Lord for all who enter.
Since June 18, 2018 we have completed the required renovations to the building we purchased, and have moved all of our services into the main building. The schedule of services can be found on our homepage.
