Mina Sifain was born in 1985 in Cairo, Egypt. He moved with his parents and younger brother to the United States in 1995, and they settled in Rochester, NY. In 2014, Mina and Marina were married at Archangel Michael Coptic Orthodox Church in Sheraton, Egypt. They currently have two sons.
Mina has many academic achievements including a Certificate in School Building Leadership from the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY and a Master’s Degree in Education from SUNY Brockport.
Mina served at Sts. Peter and Paul Coptic Orthodox Church in Rochester, NY in many services, including Sunday School, Hymns Classes, youth meetings, Archangel Michael Community Dinners, etc.
In 2019, Mina was called to the priesthood by His Grace Bishop Saraphim for St. Mina and Pope Kyrillos VI Coptic Orthodox Church, Shelby Township, MI. On November 1, 2019, Mina was ordained Full Deacon Mina at St. Mina and Pope Kyrillos VI Coptic Orthodox Church.
On November 2, 2019, Mina received the sacrament of the priesthood as Fr. Kyrillos Sifain by His Grace Bishop Saraphim. Fr. Kyrillos spent his forty days at the Monastery of St. Bishoy in Egypt and was received back to start serving the congregation of St. Mina and Pope Kyrillos VI on December 17, 2019.
